SiNYC 2017

Individual courses of intensive study were designed for each participant, as well as a variety of workshops, classes, and master classes for the entire group.

Daily Classes with Instructors and Mentors:



  David Sabella: Mr. Sabella is nationally recognized as a Master Teacher in Musical Theater and Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Techniques. He is Currently the Executive Director of The Broadway Theatre Project as well as the President of NYSTA The New York Singing Teachers’ Association. He is also on the Musical Theater voice faculty at Montclair State University.


Mary Gould: Voice Technique; Founder and Producer: South of Broadway Theatre Company. Mary toured the UK and appeared at the Edinburgh Festival as Carlotta in “Phantom of the Opera”.  Appeared at The Kennedy Center’s “Imagination Celebration” in her one-woman show:  “Operatunities: Mozart to Menotti” and toured Brasil in Sheraton ITT’s Executive’s Performance Series. Favorite roles have included, Lucia in “Lucia de Lammermoor”, Violetta in “La Traviata”, the title role in Carlisle Floyd’s “Susanna” among many others.


Bill Lewis: Repertoire Coaching: Classical coach and Music Director for Ronan Tynan (Irish tenor).  Has  appeared three times at  The White House.



Dance and Movement:


   Katie Johannigman: Katie was awarded Cincinnati Acclaim CCM Musical Theatre Dept. Award for Best Choreography for her work on “Out of this World”. She has appeared in numerous Regional and Educational Theater Performances in Cincinnati such as “Into the Woods”, “Oklahoma”, “Hair”, “42nd Street”, and “Chicago”.


  Mathew Shingledecker: Matt Shingledecker is from Charleston, SC and is an actor, known for “Grind” (2014), “Seaside and Sweet Parents” (2017).  Now residing in NYC, his Broadway Theater credits include “Wicked”, and “West Side Story”. Currently in the National Tour of “Les Miserables”.
 Neal_Lerner Neal Lerner: CChairman for professional actors at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
Has appeared in over 150 TV shows and movies including “LA Law”, “Seinfeld.” “My Idiot Brother,” and “Orange is the new Black”.  He can be seen on next season’s “Red Oaks” on Amazon.


Judith_Searcy Judith Searcy: Head of Improv at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and was part of The Chicago City Limits New York Company.


Workshops & Seminars with Agents and Casting Directors:


Irene Cabrera of DDO Artists  a leading BI-COASTAL agency. DDO’s clients have been seen in How to be Single, Broad City, The Affair, The Blacklist and Bridge of Spies.

Ingrid French  is a personal manager and owner of Ingrid French Management, a dynamic talentmanagement company.  She represents actors and models for commercial, print, television, film, theatre and voiceover.

Anthony Pichette, formerly of Kipperman Casting, has cast all types of commercials including network campaigns, regional commercials, industrials, promos and webisodes – both SAG and non-union. Some of the larger commercial campaigns that he’s cast include Coke, Nintendo Wii, Olive Garden and Six Flags. He’s also assisted in-house casting departments at networks such as Nickelodeon (Blues Clues), Sci-Fi, Food Network, Spike and MTV.

Lori Malkin is a full service Casting Director of LB Casting.  She  is known for her work on Foreign Exchange (2008), Panama Canal Stories(2014) and Taxi Brooklyn (2014).

Cynthia Katz is a talent agent that has signed actors  who are now series regulars on AMC’s hit series Hell on Wheels and the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Ruthie Christianson covers All Areas (film, TV, theater) and is currently looking for All Types (18+). Professional Artists clients can be seen on Broadway Plays including Finding Neverland, Les Miserables, Kinky Boots, Beautiful, Aladdin, American Psycho to name a few.

Greg Kamp is an actor and director. He is a graduate of University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater.
